For Parents: All Bloomfield Hills School District and state Covid guidelines will be enforced based on the phase of our county at any given time. In phases 1-3, virtual meetings are the only option. YOU CAN NOT MEET IN PERSON UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE In addition at phases 4 and 5:
Masks for all participants, parents, and mentors. A doctor’s note is needed to be allowed without a mask.
Every effort will be made to keep students 6 or more feet away from each other.
Screening based on Oakland County Health recommendations will be required by all participants in an in-person meeting.
Every effort will be made to limit the number of people present in any in-person meeting. Virtual meetings are highly encouraged. Coaches may require parents to be part of virtual meetings to assist students.
No one other than coaches, official mentors (identified by the coach), and assigned team students will be allowed at practices.
Middle and high school mentors will only be allowed in virtual meetings.
Training will be required for all coaches and assistant coaches. It will be provided for free with the BH districts new Health and Wellness Coordinator.
Field trips and events will be allowed if all protocols are followed.
Practices can be held in BH facilities as well as parent homes. The above protocols need to be enforced in both private and public locations. Every effort will be made to hold outdoor meetings at school while still following protocols. If meeting must be indoors, please limit the number of members to less than 10.
Parents should report any positive test to the Heath and Wellness coordinator for Bloomfield Hills Lsanford@bloomfield.org
Coaches will do the same screening that athletic coaches are using in the district (the www.bloomfield.org/pre-screen link goes to the current pre-screen. Parent must show the pre-screening to coach before student can enter. If the screening says the are not allowed to enter the building, please report to Mr. Sanford immediately and he will follow up.
Privacy is absolutely expected from all coaches when screening participants and parents
Tents will be outside all buildings starting Sept. 14 and teams are encouraged to meet here instead of indoors. No students can enter the building until slow rollout begins (est. Sept. 14)
Meet virtually as much as possible. If meeting at home, MUST follow protocols!
If in person, try to limit to 4 people for k-6 and 6 people for 6-8.
FTC- if at all possible, make small tool kits, so students are not sharing tools. If they must be shared, cleaning protocols are a must!
Plan regular hand washing breaks.
No food at practices. Masks must remain on for entire practice.
Parents must follow protocols as well. They should never be gathering in an area while students are engaged.

If anyone does not pass the screening, please contact Mr. Sanford immediately. Do not confront the parent or share screening with other team members/families.
